Parent-Infant Psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach designed to support parents and babies in developing healthy, secure relationships.
The therapist works with parents and their infant to observe and reflect on their interactions –many of which are nonverbal– while addressing common concerns around sleeping, feeding, playing, crying, and other aspects of early development.
Together, we explore what the baby may be communicating and help parents find ways of responding that feel attuned, supportive, and confidence-building, with the goal of strengthening the parent-infant bond and fostering secure attachment.
This work can be especially helpful for parents experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, which can make it harder to feel connected to their baby.
Parent-infant psychotherapy offers a supportive space to understand these challenges, deepen the emotional connection, and support both the parent’s well-being and the baby’s emotional development.
